Learning Curve

Invariably, everyday I get to work neat and spotless, and by the time I leave I’m covered in chalk-dust. My children would concernedly try to dust me down after every lesson, but they too have come to accept it as my natural state in my natural habitat.

As a profession, being an educator is not one which I would recommend to anybody who doesn’t have a bottomless supply of patience and perseverance. Each day I constantly find myself pushing my barriers of both. It is something which you either hate or love, there is no middle ground – and if you find yourself hating it, then get out as soon as possible, because you cannot teach someone else to love learning if you don’t love teaching.
